The Spice Girls miming on stage at a charity event? You’re joking aren’t you? Watch the video and judge for yourselves. I’m sure the organisers of the Children in Need charity show probably thought they’d got themselves a real money spinner when they managed to book The Spices to perform their songs Headlines and Stop on stage. I don’t know what’s worse, actually having them sing in their droning voices or have them mime really badly and bob up and down on the stage like buoys caught in a rip tide.
It became apparent from the off with Baby spice miming poorly that the performance was a farce and going from bad to worse when Scary and Ginger started lip syncing laughably while moving up and down on imaginary waves. Their act was shoved in a coffin when Posh started her botox-lipped, super pout-pucker version of miming. Lets face it,we know she can’t sing so we expect her to be a well practices mime, but alas our hopes are too high.
Sporty then nailed the coffin lid down with her attempt and despite the poor miming, the audience applauded excessively. They were obviously impressed by the light show or something. If I wanted to watch to some over the hill has-beens prancing around to some song from a cd, I’d just stick an album on down the local old folks home let them live it up for a while.
