Paul McCartney and Heather Mills were in court again today over their £60 million ($130m) ‘money for silence’ divorce settlement. Apparently fed up of the whole situation, Macca wants a deal to be made where the settlement will act as “silencing money” for Mills so she’ll keep her mouth shut about their marriage and subsequent divorce.

Mills is already planning to publicise her side of the story, no doubt playing on how badly she was treated by Macca, who is said to be worth over £825 million ($1.7 billion). Imagine the hardships she must have endured in such a shallow lap of luxury as his.

The marriage between Macca and Mills has been such a shambles right from the off it’s hard to imagine the end to be much different, but I can’t help thinking that Mills is taking us all for a ride to sort herself out for the rest of her life.

If this final settlement comes off she’ll receive a lump sum for herself and will have money paid annually for their daughter Beatrice. All Mills has got to do is keep her mouth shut and not talk to the tabloids about any aspect of their marriage or divorce. If she breaks this stipulation she will lose her own lump sum and I presume we’ll see them both back in court for further fights over that much sought after settlement.

Pull the other leg, Heather, it couldn’t have been that bad.
